July 19th Update

Progess on some of the things from last week. WIC - Medical, Medicaid, they bought a car (Bea's Car) went fishing with Ryan. Couseling session with Geoff was the highlight of the week. Went to the Rodeo. Got the Neon taken care of. Home Schooling the kids? Lunch with Nate to catch up. Let go and let God. Accept the things that cannot change, and let me know the difference.

Jason thinks that maybe the other guys see him going through this, we don't have to be there, but he chooses to. It also helps him out too. He doesn't know what God's plan is, but he's changing the things that he knows he needs to. May it has to be with him being more humble and patient. Waith on the Lord.

Indy says that they are hoping for the best about the house. Being out here and going to church is helping. Trying not to worry about tomorrow. Luke 9...vs. - Deny yourself, pick up your cross and follow Him. James. A double minded man cannot keep his focus. Serving God= being in His Word, listen to God instead of the devil.

Another update

Tensions mounting ... the garage issues. Jason is concerned about the apartment, credit scores, etc. He's anxious about getting into a place of his own. - Last week, a big blurr. counting the hours till work till being on his own. Frustrated that he's not working yet. License still coming. Feels good about his sobriety. Ran down to Fisherman's wharf with JJ and his jogger stroller. WIC tomorrow!! Tuesday or Wednesday was his worst day. U-Haul, Board of Nursing, Vicky giving his job away. Cursing, and stubbing his toe. Indy says that prayer is what she'd like to see more. Between Jason and her, and also all of us. Just like 'cut - n- paste' from last week. Good meeting in getting out how we all feel about things. Jason wants to make sure that he's not stepping on any toes. Wants to know before things get dicey. Jason gets tested right after this meeting....more to come.

The first two weeks:

Sunday June 21st, Fathers Day, 2009 Colliers rolled in like a storm. Michele helped Jason with the paperwork for Licence for Nursing. She also got work for Jason doing landscaping and handyman stuff - Suzanne - We've been going to church and bible studies, not to mention MEW and Saturday morning prayer. Jason's job cam right after a prayer for wonk on Saturday morning. Magnolia Manor has work for him for this next week doing roofing. Indy got a chance to work down Big Sur for Suzanne. Jason tested positive for THC and Opius. He's been clean since the 21st. (14 days today) Yesterday, on Saturday, we switched the phones at Verizon, and now we get friends and family plus 1400 minutes. We've been looking at apartments and there's one just around the corner that would be great, but we'll see.

When they first showed up, we asked Jason what his goals and expectations were:

Reconcile to Indy - Communication - Godly man, Family after God, Provider, / Indy - Motivation in different areas. Papers for citizenship.
Better Husband/Dad -
Sober - Support is good, less temptation. Less of a jerk!
Financial Stability
Employment
"Handsome, hardworking christian spouse" Christian spouses
How has God spoken to you? You're on the right path, you need to be humble.

Let go, and not spend - be frugal. Obey whey He calls, Let go and let God.(Indy)

This Next Week - More work, License, planting seeds. Paper work for WIC (Women, infants, children) Children should be covered by health insurance. August 1st for Preschool 0 JJ and Ellie. Drivers License. MPC - Check out classes. Geoff Buck to give counsel for Finances. Keep looking for Apartments.

Inadequate...

The term 'inadequate' is defined as: "not sufficient to meet a need". Well, posting such an experience on a blogspot is like Moses telling of his mistakes in the book of Exodus. Inadequate is like using a butter knife to run sinkers into drywall. It's like using an iron to toast your bread...it's like using the flesh to do something spiritual...inadequate. Sight is inadequate to conquer something that takes faith. Faith is inadequate to do works. Humility is a very adequate tool in the hands of the Lord to do some of His best work. To see yourself as you should instead of how you would like to be, even though what you'd like to be isn't anything but honorable. To be humble before the Lord is something that I've learned, and have a need to continue to learn. Just a closer walk with Thee....

Wow, What an Ending!

The month of December, 2008 was full of events that, as I look back over them, I still can't believe that we did so much. Almost two weeks in Maryland staying with the White's, and being GG and Mighty Mike to the grandsons. We came back to the Monterey Peninsula (sadly to see Ellie's car damaged). One week in between in which we did a wedding and a Phil Wickham concert in a row! Then, Papa Bear came into town and stayed with us. He's just left this past Saturday and boy am I ready for a little bit of relaxation. We took the afternoon and evening off yesterday that could have been filled with a lunch the Buck's for lunch and Fireproof for the evening, but my sweetie was right....too much! We tinkered around the house, I beat her at rummy, and we watched part of a lame movie. Fires in the fireplace, and hot cocoa! Can't beat that! Uv U, SweetPea - HB
